XML Document Design and Standardization
The XML Schema Design and Management Guide was developed
to facilitate Hong Kong SAR Government’s implementation
of G2G and G2B joined-up services. The deliverable of this
10-month project was based on international best practices
such as UN/CEFACT's Modeling Methodology (UMM), ebXML Core
Components (CC), and Universal Business Language (UBL).
The objectives of the XML Schema Design and Management
Guide are:
To provide (i) a methodology to specify the definitions
and representations of information in a consistent and structured
way as reusable information models and (ii) an approach
to convert the information models of data elements into
XML Schema Definition (XSD) code
To assist HKSAR Government's bureaux and departments, as
well as their business partners, in maximizing reusability
of XML Schemas and developing e-government joined-up projects
(G2G and G2B)
