CECID Devises a Hassle-Free Way to Breakthrough Email Attachment Size Limitation
CECID is delighted to unveil its brand new product, Detour, the first on-premise file exchange server. Fully compatible with MS Outlook and Mozilla Thunderbird, it is designed to address the file size constraint and security concern in sending email attachment.

USB Data Protection Application “OneLock” Attracts Massive Attention
In recent years, the occurrence of many personal data leakage incidents has caused alarming concern on data security issue. As a result, CECID have researched and developed a novel technology – OneLock, which is designed to offer a proved, practical and powerful solution to combat data leakage. It locks encrypted data in USB storage with a password, as well as confines access to designated computers to improve data security.

Project Chameleon Successfully Completed
Thanks to ITF funding and industry support, the 1.5-year R&D Project, Universal Web Service Adapter to Facilitate “Software as a Service (SaaS)” Implementation, was successfully completed in Feb 2010.

The Pilot Project on Large File Transfer Marked Completion of Project Falco
CECID have recently completed the ITF project codenamed Falco which intended to research and develop a multi-site infrastructure that can support secure large file transfer over the Internet with minimal overhead. The project deliverable, Secure Digital Content Transfer (SDCT) Gateway, was deployed in two pilot projects.

Knowledge Transfer and Market Needs Capture via Consulting Projects
Apart from ITF projects, CECID have participated in two other consulting projects on data transformation and iPhone application in the past six months.

Featured Staff
Jumbo Cheung, Analyst Programmer, is now spending his 5th year in CECID. Throughout the years, he has involved in several R&D projects, including Hermes messaging gateway, Enterprise Data Architect (EDA) and Detour.
