This project was completed in July 2006.
Business needs for productivity enhancement are increasingly
driving integration and process automation. To achieve business
process integration, enterprise applications or systems,
which perform different business functions within and across
an organizational boundary, need to be interoperable. Standardization
on electronic business documents and processes is the key
to ensure interoperability.
Based on open standards and international best practices
in the R&D, Project Pyxis delivered an XML Schema
Modelling Suite and a Business Process (BP) Design Suite.
These deliverables support the process-driven, standards-based
paradigm centering on XML and Web Services.
These deliverables could be applied in these areas and applications:
- Logistics,
- Supply chain management,
- e-government,
- Cross-border trading and,
- Communicable disease information exchange.
